Peter Riva

Peter Riva has been an a licensor, literary agent, film co-producer, TV producer, and environmentalist for 35+ years. In his youth he rallyed (badly) in Great Britain and was an avid F1 fan. He runs several companies in the arts and, in his spare time, negotiated the 1st ever global environmental treaty between the USA and the USSR; “The Only One Earth Treaty” at the UN in 1990. He was also the Project Manager (and floor-sweeper) at Voyager, the 1st-ever circumnavigation flight of the globe, non-stop, non-refueled, in 1986. Before that he worked with Congress to uncover 175,000 high-res space pictures and change the filing of photos from space (NASA’s hand-held images).

In the past Peter has won the Teddy Roosevelt Travel Award, a show he created was nominated twice for an Emmy, won the Telly Award for a commercial and a special presentation at the UN, produced the 1st live transmission from MIR to the UN General Assembly, and has produced or installed over 20 museum exhibits. For 12 years Peter has written a weekly Op-ed for 2 newspapers in the northeast, one paper having won “best op-ed page in New York State” three times (despite his column).

Peter is married (38 years), has two sons, both married in New York City, and lives between New York and New Mexico where his nearest neighbor is a ½ mile away (and that’s too close).
